Apologies, as always, for the long times between Leo updates. Here are the latest pictures. The family is looking forward to Aunt Mel's wedding (and Leo's 3rd birthday!) in July.

We took a quick trip to Inverness CA last weekend. Got some nature walks and beach time in. Click on the slideshow above to see bigger pix, and videos with political commentary by young Leo.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that you can year my sweet, sweet voice coming at you from inside your PC or Mac once a week. I do the Real Deal "podcast" (a Web-based radio show) here at CNET with another guy Tom Merritt. We try to give solid advice about technology and to dispel the FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) that comes from using the latest and greatest.
My goal is to make this show a little more approachable than some of the insidery stuff I cover on my main site, Webware.com.

The clan heads up to Ashland, Oregon, to hang with parents, sibs, and in-laws over Christmas and the other important winter holiday: Rafe's birthday!

We took Leo trick-or-treating down 24th Street on Halloween. His costume: A lion. Of course. Not wanting to replay last year's Halloween, in which he hated his bear costume, we began to "socialize" him into this year's lion outfit months ago. Went pretty well.

Hi folks. Lonely Rafe here. Jennifer and Leo are still away on a concert tour in Austria and Germany. The concerts have been going well, and Leo turned one! (We'll have a second party for him next week when everyone is back in SF.)
While he's been globetrotting, Leo has learned to walk (videos to come once Jennifer's camera gets back here), has started talking a lot more, and has apparently developed a taste for whipped cream and chocolate cake. I guess if you're going to do that, Austria is the place for it.
Aunt Mel the auntie-nanny (or "anti-nanny," depending) extended a Euro tour of her own to take care of Leo while Jennifer was rehearsing, playing, and schmoozing, but the Nifflemans have still found time to tour and hike and stuff.
Thanks to the miracle of teh intarwebs, I've been in videophone contact with Jennifer and Leo about every other day. I got to see him walk! That was the coolest.
I miss my fam, but it sounds like everyone is having a great time.
